Charles Kershaw

CHARLES KERSHAW may be one of the smallest in size, but he is easily the smartest operator in 4C. Charlie's transfer from Brewer at the start of his Junior year proved to be a happy choice for all the Brothers. Books and study are purely a byline with Charlie — especially since he won that car at Sears. Although Charlie claims ice skating and roller skating are among his capital accomplishments, we feel he will cut a much smarter figure selling light bulbs. Charlie is a natural for the service where his carefree good fellowship should make him a "King of Gabs."

After high school I chauffeured for the Honorable Judge Edward P. Murray in Bangor.

November, 1953, I joined the U.S. Marine Corps.

Upon leaving the Marines, I returned to Lewiston, Maine. Soon after, I met my future wife. We had two daughters.

We moved to Kansas City, Kansas, and remained there for six years. We then moved to Lakeland, Florida. And in 1978 we divorced.

I've been in Lakeland, Florida, for the past 35 years.

1997 - Had three heart attacks and had to have quadruple heart by-pass surgery at the VA Hospital in Tampa, Florida. While in the hospital "I died twice, but they saved me both times." During this time, "... I almost lost my right leg; however they saved it, but it is still numb ... so, I guess I'm lucky to be here. I spent over four months in the VA Hospital during the summer of 1997 ... great year?"
